Apologetics: Defending Your Faith
Have you ever been challenged about your Christian faith by non-believing family members, friends or co-workers? Do you avoid arguments about the existence of God? Do you find it difficult to express your beliefs in meaningful ways, when questioned by those who don’t share your beliefs? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this class is for you. Together, we will explore the two main methods of Christian defense for our beliefs. We will study the existence of God, the origin and existence of evil, and the problem of pain, in ways that are relevant to today’s culture. As it says in 1Peter 3:15 “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect …” Come join Elder Joe DeNitto in the church office for this class, as we “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5b).
