Rev. John K. Keen

Our Senior Pastor, Rev. John K. Keen, is a native Floridian; he was born in Miami and reared in Orlando.  John and his wife of twenty-five years, Diane, honeymooned on the west coast of Florida, and their love for the area began at that time and continued to increase over the years.  Rev. and Mrs. Keen have four children, whose ages range from twenty-two to fourteen.  The Keens moved to Tampa in July 2004, and Pastor Keen began ministry at Seminole Church on August 1 of that year.  Prior to this latest call to ministry, Mr. Keen served as a church planter and an organizing pastor in New Orleans, LA, as well as senior pastor for two churches located in Central Florida and Northern Alabama, respectively.  Mr. Keen also served as a senior staff member (Minister of Outreach) for Chapelgate Presbyterian Church in suburban Baltimore, MD.  Pastor Keen received his Bachelor of Arts degree (Speech Communications) from the University of Central Florida in 1984, and his Masters of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson, MS campus) in 1990.  Mr. Keen was licensed and ordained by the Louisiana Presbytery of The Presbyterian Church in America in 1988 and 1990, respectively.  Currently, Pastor Keen serves as a member of the Examinations Committee and the Administration Committee for the Southwest Florida Presbytery.
